So much on the horizon…

The world awaits the IPhone 5 … at least my teenage son does, with hope in his heart. Meanwhile, we can only guess at the wonderful range of accessories by re-examining the ones that exist now! Electronic components distributors are kept wildly busy in Hong Kong, China and elsewhere delivering “perfect companions” for your IPhone in the car with the Plantronics M100 Bluetooth Headset. There’s also the Belkin TuneCast Auto Live, so you can listen to the music on your iPhone or iPod touch through your car stereo and quickly find the best FM station.

Of late there have been some remarkable price changes in the world of Electronic components distributors – especially as regards the latest IPhone. Even though the IPhones 3 and 4 seemed similar to its predecessors – as will the IPhone 5 no doubt – there have been interesting changes in the electronic components distributors companies.

In Taiwan firms such as Largan Precision and Genius Electronic were closely involved with the IPhone 3GS and 4. FoxConn was responsible for putting together various sections of the mobile handset and the touch screen panels were manufactured by electronic components distributors TPL, Wintek Innolux and Chimei. For the next IPhone, Largan Precision and Genius Electronic will be manufacturing and delivering parts of the completed camera module. FoxConn will also be supplying earphones, whilst Foxlink will supply the sockets. Electronic components distributors Gold Circuit will also join the family as HDI board suppliers.

All this of very little interest though to most teenagers and business people, waiting anxiously for the latest rumour and checking on Google daily. When will the next IPhone be out – for goodness sake?
